wanted > shoot 'em up > crank.

oh man.

just got back from watching wanted with rachel. she was kind of done with the movie after the first ***OK I WON'T SPOIL IT***

suffice it to say, it was a fun, ridiculous movie. lots of shooting, lots of 'what!?' moments, all in all an entertaining time. i'd recommend it to anyone, think of shoot 'em up, crank, those sorts of movies. although they seem to take themselves a little more seriously than jason statham did in crank.

vp of doing all the work

So I started work yesterday, and I'm really enjoying it. Something about being on a really small team w/lots of freedom is great. I can't say what I'm working on, except that I like the whole process of working for a small company. It's in the Back Bay, so if you are in the area for lunch or something like that, let me know!

Oh on a really awesome note: all of the wedding thank you cards are done. phew! That was one of the last remnants of the whole move.

Today was Rachel's first day of work: good luck all you people getting sick in Boston-

chill for a sec yo-

i know people want pictures of the house. we are working on it-

the house is a little bigger than we expected and we have been busier that i would have thought. i don't want to give people any unfinished business.

or maybe this is incentive for people to visit?

making a splash

there is a "party" for the new intern cohort. someone felt that all of the boring events needed a little spicing up. i feel almost obligated to go out and funk it up. we'll see what happens. we're representing the pacific nw by bringing washington apple body shots - really just a washington apple shot w/whipped cream.

i'll keep you posted on the success.

it's a good day to masquerade as me.

so i've been doing a lot of impersonating lately. at a lot of the mgh events there are very few "+1"s, let alone many people that i have things in common with. rachel and i have been very well received and we are doing great don't worry. but we had this joke that i would be an interventional radiologist chief one night, so that i could feel more a part of the group.

it's a good day to be me.
  1. our new tv got here (42" 1080p plasma type deal)
  2. i got the job offer that i really wanted
  3. to celebrate i went to a free lobster dinner at the harvard club
  4. went out drinking to celebrate w/a great couple that got married the same day that we did, in seattle, down the block from us, and stayed in the same hotel afterwards.
  5. i finally set up my desk so that i can have two monitors again. (i'm such a resolution whore.)
  6. i accepted that job offer that i really wanted

fun stuff, eh?

ok. let's try this blogging thing again.

it's been pretty long since i last posted, mostly because i have busy.
  • unloading
  • unpacking
  • building ikea stuff
  • moving furniture
  • ... oh and did i mention doing job interviews?
at least we are making a lot of headway in all of these categories. almost all of the ikea furniture is built, just the last recruits in our toadstool army. we cooked our first dinner in the kitchen today. thanks to eli for the cookbook. we did some sort of braised fish w/ bok choy. so tasty.

on the job front, i got my first offer and am finishing up with three more companies this week. i should be making a decision by the end of this week. come july i'll be a legitimately employed man.

i'll still keep my sugar momma around though-

internet at home is so nice

and guess what. this home is in boston!

i'm kind of new to this whole blogging thing, not sure what anyone would actually want to read about my life for. oh well. i bet it's because of rachel or something to that effect.

rachel and i have been in the new place for two days now, highlights:
*exploring boston together
*finding a few good ice cream places in cambridge
*the new design of the tropicana oj bottles.
*acing my first inhouse interview

sweet!
